If you need to install the μGAS 1000 Trace Gas Reaction Evaluation System operating software due to changing computers or reinstalling the operating system, please follow the steps below.
01 Create a folder named “1008” in the C drive of the new terminal, and then create another folder named “1008” inside it;
02 Insert the USB drive provided by Perfectlight into the new terminal, open the USB folder, and select “Upper-Computer Installation Program”;
03 After entering the “Upper-Computer Installation Program” folder, copy all files into the C:/1008/1008 folder;
04 Double-click to enter the “Debug” folder, select “1008.exe”, create a shortcut, and send it to the desktop;
05 Open the desktop shortcut “1008.exe” to enter the μGAS 1000 software interface. Click the icon in the upper-right corner to connect the serial port. If numerical values appear in the “Device Real-Time Status Information” section under “Conduct Experiment”, it means the connection is successful and the system is ready for use — you do not need to proceed to Step II below.
If no numerical values appear in the “Device Real-Time Status Information” section after the serial connection, please continue with Step II to install the USB-to-RS232 driver.
01 Since the hardware connection between the lower and upper computers uses the UGREEN USB-to-RS232 serial cable, you must install its driver before use;
02 Open the USB drive folder provided by Perfectlight, locate “USB-to-RS232 Driver”, and open it;
03 After entering, open the corresponding folder according to your computer’s operating system version;
04 Inside the corresponding folder, find the application named “Setup”, double-click it, and follow the prompts to complete installation. Afterward, reopen the “1008.exe” software and reconnect the serial port.
05 At this point, the installation of the μGAS 1000 Trace Gas Reaction Evaluation System operating software is complete.
