To ensure the repeatability and accuracy of experiments, it is necessary to measure the light radiation intensity using an optical power meter before each photocatalysis experiment. Different models of optical power meters need to be selected based on variations in light source intensity and spectral distribution.
Both PM100D and S425C are optical power kits produced by Thorlabs. The PM100 head can be used with a variety of power and energy probes, providing calibrated (traceable to NIST) measurements over a wide range of power, energy, and wavelengths.
The S425C is a thermal power sensor designed for general-purpose broadband power measurements of medium to low-power light sources. This sensor has a fast natural response time (< 0.6 s), and the detachable heatsink offers flexibility for integration into custom setups or replacement with water-cooled or fan-cooled heatsinks.
