PerfectLight colleagues gathered together to jointly open the grand celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary. This was not only a year-end reunion, but also a milestone moment for PerfectLight—standing at the twenty-year historical landmark, deeply responding to the national strategy of scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening, while envisioning a future of “full-dimensional transformation.”
In 2025, through deep participation in national-level major scientific and technological R&D programs and leadership of key provincial and ministerial research projects, PerfectLight marked a new milestone in serving the nation’s major science and technology strategies and innovation landscape.
Standing at the remarkable coordinate of 2026, PerfectLight welcomes the twentieth anniversary of its brand. These twenty years are not only a story of self-reliance in domestic scientific instruments, but also a journey as builders, drivers, and witnesses of related scientific fields advancing toward world-class—and even world-leading—levels.
• Twenty Years of Deep Cultivation, Forging a Technological Foundation
Since its founding in 2006, when Founder Chen Lei and his team developed China’s first complete photocatalytic water-splitting system, PerfectLight embarked on its journey of “chasing the light” in domestic scientific instrumentation. By its 10th anniversary in 2016, the product portfolio had expanded to more than ten series, covering nearly all research directions in photocatalysis at that time.
• Crossing the Chasm, Achieving Industrial Breakthroughs
In 2018, the company successfully developed a square-meter-scale solar hydrogen production demonstration system, taking the lead in bridging the gap from laboratory research to scaled application. In 2019, with the successful delivery of the “Qingguang” series hundred-ton fully automated production lines, PerfectLight officially advanced from material chemistry research instruments into the field of photochemical industrial application equipment.
• Standard Leadership, Reshaping Industry Norms
As an industry leader, PerfectLight has deeply participated in the formulation of multiple national and industry standards, and provides standardized equipment support for policies related to the “Belt and Road” Initiative.

Chairman Chen Lei emphasized that AI at PerfectLight has been upgraded into a “new capability generation system for individuals and organizations”. On the afternoon of the 25th, the gala entered its most exhilarating moments.

On the 26th, we visited the Xi’an Museum together. Immersed in the weight of history, we felt the depth and continuity of Chinese culture—much like PerfectLight’s twenty-year perseverance: innovating through inheritance, and going further by chasing the light.
With a decisive posture, we embark on the next twenty years! The curtain of 2026 has risen. After twenty years of chasing the light, our gaze remains firm; as we gallop forward, the future is already beneath our feet.
