Due to the current majority of photocatalytic reactions being carried out in kettle-type reactors, there are significant design and usage differences between flat-panel reactors and kettle-type reactors, making research results from kettle-type reactors not directly applicable to experiments involving flat-panel reactors.

Perfectlight Technology introduces the PLR-SPRL experimental-grade flat-panel photochemical reaction device, which has a relatively small reactor volume and is primarily used for:

1. Validating selected experimental methods and basic process conditions.

2. Obtaining necessary physical, thermodynamic, and kinetic data.

3. Investigating the impact of transfer processes.

Key Features

1. The reactor is compact with an effective working area of 10×10 cm2, and options for 5×5, 15×15, 20×20, and 25×25 cm2. Experimenters can change different reactors based on experimental requirements, gradually increasing the reaction area to obtain mass transfer, heat transfer, and reaction kinetics data during scale-up.

Support block design can be changed to use various substrate materials, such as non-woven fabric, carbon paper, carbon cloth, high borosilicate glass, organic glass, etc., to meet different catalyst loading requirements.

3. It has a water bath temperature control structure that can efficiently remove heat from the reaction process through circulating condensing water.

4. It can perform sealed reactions or continuous flow reactions.

In the early stages of experiments with lower efficiency, sealed reactions can be chosen to measure the catalyst's activity through time accumulation. As the process is optimized and production yield increases, it can switch to continuous flow mode for catalyst activity characterization.

5. The device comes with a manual sampling valve, allowing direct online detection of products when used in conjunction with gas chromatography.
